Marlon and I woke up at 4:30am and are up for the day. Wanted to get pictures of the sunrise but we are on the opposite side of the hotel that the sun comes up on......Today is around 86 degrees and somewhat humid. Riding a bike is a great way to get around. I have my first drivers license for a bicycle here in Japan.
Went and got our bikes at 8:30am this morning. We rented bikes and went back to room and will make plans for our day. We are going to meet at Grab Happy Diner for lunch can't wait as this place is famous for there burgers and onion rings.
Check out how they spelled which at the bottom of the sign! |
Of course we all ordered some of their famous onion rings. They were excellent the recommendations for this place were correct.
Teresa and Sue ordered a Caesar salad and when they brought it OMG it had a runny egg on top of the salad. I could barely look at their salad it made me feel SICK. When we got ready to leave I showed them what I had bought at Parco Mall. It's a shawl that has buttons on it to keep it from falling off, what an awesome idea.
I do really like this shawl...........everybody is going their separate ways now. Marlon and I are headed for Central Park on our bikes. This will be Marlon's first time to visit this park. I know he will be impressed when he arrives.
The view was beautiful and there were lots of people enjoying the park. Walking down the tree lined path there were several benches located between the trees. Most of the people on the benches were asleep or reading enjoying their Sunday in the park.
Marlon and I roamed around the park taking in all the scenery and people. I can not tell you just how beautiful this place is and how tranquil.
This is awesome this sun dial is exactly what Marlon's watch shows. |
Beautiful View |
Do I imitate the statue well? |
Moving on through the park to see some more of its beauty.
Walking around the pond and into the woods there were more people sleeping on the benches enjoying their Sunday afternoon.
More beauty just around the corner.
A little girl and his grandpa were sitting on some rocks enjoying each others company. How sweet is that ?
It is time to leave the park and head to our next destination Utsunomiyia Castle Ruin Park. On our way to another park we passed the largest GINKO tree. It's big and impressive. WOW
Time to go back to the hotel....I'm hot and not feeling so good. Ugggg.......
We rode our bikes down by Ori & Dori Mall and they have fall leaves
posted on all the poles. Love it looks like they are ready for fall and
the festivities that will bring.
I turned in my bike and Marlon is keeping his, I want to rest at hotel and he wants to still ride. Marlon went and got groceries and rode around. He's back and ready to take a break and visit with me. Having
