Fourth of July 2022

Lunch on the patio. Hubby did some grilling for all of us.  Nothing like some American July 4th food, burgers, hotdogs, corn on the cob, ice tea, and blackberry crisp with ice cream.  In the cart and heading to Brownwood to see the festivities going on.
It looks like it could rain and has threatened to rain all day.  So far though no rain. :-)
Took Mary's picture with the American red white and blue stilt walkers.
Watched The Villages twillers perform their patriotic act.
Another picture of Mary with the stilt walkers.
Twillers
Marlon and I spotted the stilt walkers and got our picture with them. So patriotic.

Time to take a look at the all-American Brews & Cruise activity.  Lots of excellent made-in-America cars that are classic.
Making our way around the square in Brownwood to see all these classic cars.

Check out the license plate on the 67 mustang fastback.
Nice time at Brownwood Brews & Cruise to check out more of the villages. Made a pit stop to show Kyle and Mary the place called Sunset Point.  What a beautiful view of Sumter Landing.
Now it's time to check out another part of The Villages.  Spanish Springs is the oldest part of the villages.  We are going to take Kyle and Mary to this most beautiful area.  Live music at the Spanish Springs Square tonight is Paisley Craze.
Danced to a slow song they played and left to tour the rest of Spanish Springs.
Stopped to admire this beautiful lit-up fountain where the oak trees are covered with moss hanging down from the trees.  Love how the wind makes the moss swaying in the breeze.
Great night with the family.

Golf Cart Rides in The Villages

Marlon made everyone oatmeal pancakes and sausage. Marlon ate his breakfast when Archer got up. Archer likes his pancakes with peanut butter and syrup.

After breakfast, we loaded up in the golf carts and are on our way to Spanish Springs to return a Tervis thermos that actually had rust in it.  It's only 2 weeks old and cost $30 it should never have rusted on the inside.

We stopped at Dunkin Doughnuts and got some ice-cold drinks and the boys had drinks and their doughnuts with chocolate icing and sprinkles. While there we downloaded the Legoland app and checked out what we were interested in seeing.  The app will let us check in for rides and movies and shows so we don't have to wait in any line.
Decided we would take them to Cody's Steakhouse in Sumter Landing. It's about a 35-minute golf cart ride.
This is Sumter Landing and Cody's is by the boat docks.
There is this orange truck that sits out front so I took the boy's pictures.
A short walk from where we parked to Cody's . Love Josh and Brody's matching shirts.
Check out our delicious food!  YUMMY
After lunch, we were going to take a boat ride around the lake. It's only 3:45pm and the boat ride doesn't start till 4pm.  When we got there we were told the heat index is 106F and they were not going to run the boat today. We decided then to take a walk around the lake.
