Arrival In Utsunomiyia Japan

It is just so very hot and humid in Kyoto sure hope when we get to Utsunomiyia that the temperatures are cooler.  We are packed and ready to go have some breakfast, some thing besides pastries. It is RAINING outside and still very very hot and humid.  Don't want to look far for a place to eat, I'm so very hot.   Found a quaint little cafe and ordered a set (which whatever the set is you cannot change it) of ham & cheese sandwich and a cup of coffee.
 Now when we got it it looked very tasty; the cheese is melted on the outside of the bread. Yummo can't wait to eat it.

[Walked back to the hotel after our great breakfast and checked out of hotel. It's time to walk to the train station. Man it's raining; thank goodness the station is very close to hotel.  We need to get tickets for the bullet train so we can get to Tokyo, which is 3 hours from Kyoto.  Once we reach Tokyo we will catch another bullet train to Utsunomiyia.  The bullet train (shinkansen) travels at about 200 mph, so very fast I can't look out the windows makes me feel sick. We have our tickets now and are standing on the platform waiting  for  for the train to arrive.  If I haven't mentioned it enough, IT"S SO VERY HOT AND HUMID.  I am miserable uggggg, I have sweat running down my back my shirt is wet, my shorts are damp from the rain, YUCK.

 As I'm waiting on the bullet train to arrive, I  look across the tracks and there are school kids catching the bullet train to school.  It amazes me at the young age of some of these young children' to be riding the bullet train to school without supervision.

The train has finally arrived and I'm so ready to get out of this heat...and humidity. Even 200 mph doesn't seem fast enough to get me to Utsunomiyia where I pray the weather is not so hot and humid. :-)

I was so hot all I wanted to do was cool off and sleep. I managed to cool off and go to sleep the heat wears me out fast...

We are finally at the Utsunomiyia train station and I'm so happy to be getting off this train and to the Richmond Hotel.  The minute I get off the train; I smile from ear to ear, cool weather.  Down side is it's raining; but the humidity was nothing compared to Kyoto. If you could only see how big Marlon and I are smiling and the comfort we feel of the cooler temperatures you would be smiling with us.

We got checked into the hotel and showered; now its time to eat some gyoza.  Utsunomiyia is famous for gyoza. There is a gyoza shop right down the street from the hotel; we took off walking in the rain and went inside and ordered our gyoza for dinner. Yummo

Have to mention that most Japanese restaurants have a BING BONG which sounds when you press it so your waitress knows you need something.  I think this is such a wonderful idea. :-)

   After we were done eating we went back to the hotel.  We decided to wait in lobby for the rest of Marlon's group to arrive.  Their flight should get them to hotel around 7pm.  When they finally arrived we all went to Sammy's so they could eat, and have a few drinks with them. I am really tired and ready to head back to hotel.......
