John Watling's Rum Distillery in Nassau Bahamas

In 1789 the estate of John Watling was built overlooking the harbor.  This was the site where Bahamians hand-crafted Johh Watling's small-batch rums.  We were given a tour of the factory where the rum is made and barreled.

Time to go inside the house and shop then on into the Red Turtle Tavern.  We sampled 3 different rums and then got a signature Bahamian cocktail.  John Watling's Distillery is located on Delancey Street and is open from 10am-6pm seven days a week.  On Fridays, they stay open till 9pm.  Not open on National holidays.

Here comes my signature cocktail rum pina colata.

 So cold and yummy

Atlantis Hotel - Paradise Island, Nassau Bahamas

Our first stop on the tour of Nassau was the Atlantis Hotel.  Wow, what a beautiful hotel.  Loved the pegasus gold winged horses water feature out front of hotel.
Look at that bridge connecting hotels, wow what engineering.

View of the Harborside Villas at Atlantis resort Paradise Island Bahamas.
Pegasus fountain was so beautiful.

Marlin fish adorn the top of this hotel.
This hotel has lots of beautiful features including this view of big shells with water flowing out of them.

Walkway over the water to entrance of hotel.

The inside of this hotel is magnificent. The ceiling of this hotel was just absolutely breathtaking.

I felt like a queen sitting in this chair. lol
Atlantis hotel has one of the largest aquariums in the USA. The aquarium features over 100 venomous lionfish, 500 piranhas, jellyfish, eels, groupers, and a multitude of brightly colored tropical fish.  I watched for as long as I could before we had to get back on the tour bus. I did manage to get a few videos of some of the fish in the aquarium.

Would love to stay here someday and enjoy this fabulous hotel.
