Relaxation Day in Montana

We enjoyed watching the sun come up over the mountain. We started a fire in the fireplace Marlon made us omelets this morning with some leftover salami and cheese.  Believe it or not, it was delicious.
This is our condo at Whitefish Mountain Resort.

Spent the morning relaxing and watching Netflix.  Around 2pm we decided to go birding.  Found this place called West Valley Bird and Wildlife Viewing Area in Kalispell, MT.  When we got there it was nothing but a field with round bales of hay in it.  I took pictures of the thistle LOL

Once we left the area, I spotted a bird at the top of the tree.  Marlon stopped and I tried my best to get a shot of it.  This bird is a Red-Tailed Hawk.  I think he is looking for a meal. He paid no attention to me.

The drive in the country was very relaxing.  Look at this amazing. Methodist Church out in the country.
Saw this barn and just loved it.  We have arrived back in Whitefish and have found a walking path along Whitefish  river. On this trail we crossed over a wooden bridge that took us over the river to the other side of the walking trail.

Spotted thisGADWALL and we stood on the bridge looking at the river.
As we walked down the path I am looking hard to find some Montana birds.
Spotted this
BLACK-BILLED MAGPIE
Looks like he’s doing his happy dance.
In the midst of the pine trees we saw this bird. We think it’s a RED-SHAFTED FLICKER

Birding on the path this guy crossed our path and held still for a photo op.Another bird in the Pine trees.
 BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE
Is this an AMERICAN ROBIN?
This bird was sitting on the fence that’s divided housing from the wooded walking path.   CHIPPING SPARROW??
More roaming deer as we were leaving the trial.
Tired and hungry so we are going downtown Whitefish for some grub.  We heard music playing so we followed the sound.  Woot Woot a Farmers Market with live music and food trucks.  We looked around at all the tents and food trucks. Decided we would go have pizza at the best pizza in town called Jersy Boys.

Pepperoni pizza and salad was so delicious.

Water Lilly Bridge Tour & Hogeye Path Wildliightfe

Taking a golf cart ride to take a ride over I-75 new bridge to the south side of The Villages. Left at 10am and returned home at 1:30pm.  Stopped at Dunkin Doughnuts and got our great tasting Cold Brew with Sweet Cream.  Took off on the journey down south in the cart.  After crossing the bridge there we parked at Hogeye Path.  The walk was about 3 miles.  I had lots of opportunities to take wildlife photos.
