Last Day in Destin Feb 2023

A nice walk on the beach this morning.

Walked on over to the outlet mall and it doesn't open till 11:00 Was going to Starbucks but when we got there it was packed and no seating inside or out.  Walked back to the mall and shopped for shoes.  Found our shoes at Saucony.  They fit so well.

Stopped to get some boba tea. This was a Vietnamese restaurant.  

Ended up staying there and getting a sandwich was delicious, Never heard of this place before but glad we found it at the outlet mall. 

Back to the hotel to drop off the new stuff we bought at the mall and get prepared to go over to the beach and spend some time listening to the ocean and relaxing..

Back to the hotel now and cracked open some champagne.  Sat out on the balcony enjoying the weather while sipping our champagne.

Time for dinner decided to order some shrimp over at the local fish market.  They steam the shrimp in bay seasoning. Got some homemade cocktail sauce from the fish market and potato salad and coleslaw.  The market added some melted butter in the box of shrimp.  Champagne and shrimp with salad were super delicious.  I absolutely loved the shrimp it was so big and sweet..........DELICIOUS..........

Destin Feb 2023 Retail Therapy

 Breakfast on the balcony this morning its cool outside but not cold.  Marlon and I walked the beach this morning.  The weather is beautiful, sun is shinning and the ocean is glistening from the sun beeming down on it.  There are a few people on the beach soaking up some sun and a few children playing in the sand.

Walked from the beach over to Winn Dixie and got some turkey sandwiches for lunch.  We already had some chips back at the hotel and soda.  Ate lunch out on the balcony.  Resting now and watching a movie.

Shopping at the outlet mall across the street then dinner at Austins The Oyster Bar & Grill.

Ordered fried pickles for appetizers.

Watched the Daytona 500.............

Fried half and half........ Shrimp and oysters yummy

Tonight's sunset is amazing as all sunsets are :-)

Destin, Florida Feb. 2023 Beach Therapy

 Sunrise this morning here in Destin, Florida.  View from our room.

Marlon walked over to Winn Dixie grocery and bought us bagels and cream cheese for our breakfast, we had coffee from downstairs in the lobby.  After breakfast, we decided to walk over to the beach and check it out.  The white sand beaches are just so beautiful.  Temperature is in the 60s here today but it's okay tomorrow will be warmer. 

 

Came home and worked on my blog for yesterday.  Marlon went and got us lunch and we ate out on the balcony.  Getting much warmer out, especially in the sun. It's time for some coffee we walked across the street where there is a Outlet Mall and a Starbucks.  We got some iced coffee and walked around checking out the stores.  We have decided tomorrow we will do some shopping. 

On our way back to the hotel we saw 2 hawks. One on a wire and one on another wire.  Totally surprised me to see 2 at the same time. They could be partners?

We passed Winn Dixie and went in to look for dinner ideas.  Nothing sounded good.  Passed a Chinese place and decided on Lo Mein noodles and soup.

Walked over to a Seafood Market while waiting on our Chinese order.  This market will steam anything from their store for you and you also can buy sides.  We have decided this will be our dinner for tomorrow. Looking forward to this.

Back to the hotel to eat dinner.

Apple Crumble hot tea tonight on the balcony watching the sun go down over the gulf.
