Houshi Ryokan Experience

Houshi Ryokan is in the Hokuriku area of Japan.  I feel so honored to get to stay in this beautiful Ryokan.  This hotel is the oldest running hotel in the world.  I was so impressed that it even housed a natural hot spring that I look forward to going to.   It's claims of being the oldest hotel is in the Guinness Book of World Records.I will say I am a little nervous about going here where we will be served Japanese traditional food, and to try an onsen. We will also have to obey all the Japanese rules that they live by daily.

When we got there we were to take our shoes off and put on house slippers that they provided.  we were told to sit on pillows in front of this big line of windows that overlooked a garden.  We were greeted with green tea and a sweet.

Here is Marlon trying out his green tea and sweet.
Beautiful view of the garden while sipping our tea and eatting our sweets.
Our room keys, 301 is Ric and Teresa's and ours is 302.
Our room is beautiful and so peaceful and relaxing.

Chilling

I took some time before dinner to look around the hotel.  The gardens are amazing.
Sitting area to relax, you must be very quiet in this hotel as people are here to relax.
Our Japanese clothing that was left for us to wear this evening.
Relaxing and enjoying the garden view
All ready for our traditional Japanese dinner at 6:00pm
Me and my BFF Teresa, ready for dinner then onsen.
My handsome husband Marlon is also ready for dinner.

Came back from dinner and our bed was already put down for us.
