Asakasa, along the Sumida River Park

Sumida Park is one of the best 100 Sakura Spots in Japan located right next to Sumida River. There are about 1000 Sakura planted along with the riverside. Sakura trees make a beautiful flower tunnel.  During hanami, there are many vendors selling food and drink. We also enjoyed watching the ladies dressed in kimono do traditional Japanese dance. This used to be the private park of Shogun family. 8th Shogun of Tokugawa, Yoshiie opened some spots of park so that everyone can enjoy Hanami. Now, it's opened for public to enjoy.  He planted a lot of Sakura on both side of Sumida river.  The view of the SKY TREE was very beautiful. Many ricshaws lined up to give passengers rides to their locations.
The cherry blossoms  that line the path were just breathtakingly beautiful
Many boats giving tours along the river.
Asahi Beer Brewing is in Tokyo near SKY TREE

To much enjoyment for this young lady.

Chidori-ga-fuchi Pedestrian Path along the Moat

We are on our way to start our journey to Tokyo with Ric and Teresa Lehman.  Ric has an entire weekend planned of cherry blossom watching from the most famous areas in Tokyo. Marlon and I are so excited to have one of the best tour guides in Japan.  We are up early and have packed our backpacks with clothes for the weekend.  Teresa made us breakfast and we are on our way to the Suzumenomiya Train Station.
Ric and Teresa gave us a Suica card, to put money on.  This card will enable us to just go through the train lines with our cards and no  stopping and buying a ticket each time we get off the train or switch trains.  Wow, this card is super convenient, saving  lots of time.
.  Waiting for the first train ride of the day and here it is.
2 1/2 hours later and we are in Tokyo, ready to start our adventure. As we got off the train I was amazed at the beauty of the train station here in Tokyo.  I loved the ceiling of the Tokyo train station.  The train station also has a hotel in it. Ric and Teresa have stayed there and said it is very beautiful.

Our first destination was Chidorigafuchi, Tokyo.  Chidorigafuchi is a moat located in the northwest area of the Imperial Palace, and it is said the name comes from the moat's shape, which resembles plovers (Chidori in Japanese).
Address: Kudanminami, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

Chidorigafuchi also had a boat pier where many people were renting boats to get a great view of the cherry blossom trees that line the moat.  This place is so magical and breathtakingly beautiful.  I could have spent hours there just enjoying the view.
There are more beautiful places that Ric is taking us too so we must "Ikemashou"  which translates in English as Let's Go
