TN Brew Works

HIPPIES & COWBOYS®

STYLE:  India Pale Ale

ABV: 6.0%, IBU: 35

DESCRIPTION:
If you live in Tennessee you have plenty of friends that are hippies and cowboys: this IPA is an ode to them.

This tropical and citrus IPA provides luscious aromas that filter through to the palate. Light on the bittering, it ends with a smooth and crisp finish. It is a very versatile beer that can be enjoyed on the ranch after a hard day’s work or listening to live music at a gritty honky tonk.

The place is packed with lots of people having a good time.

History of the Hot Chicken in Nashville TN.

After Horton Prince stepped out on his main squeeze one Saturday night, one of Thornton's lovers decided to get some payback by sabotaging his favorite Sunday morning meal. When preparing a batch of good, old-fashioned fried chicken, she then doused the bird in plenty of hot pepper in an effort to give it a punishing spice. Unfortunately — or fortunately, depending on how you look at it — Thornton loved his punishment. The chicken was so delicious, that he started sharing it with family and friends. Eventually, Thornton Prince opened up a chicken shack to start selling the hot stuff himself.

Waited in line but it was worth the wait.  The food and service were excellent.  Sat by the windows and people watched.  Lots of people are out touring the city of Nashville.

Hot chicken sandwich with pimento cheese mac & cheese, so yummy

Ruby Falls Tennessee BEST CAVE EVER

The tree lined road leading up the mountain was absolutely beautiful.  We have already purchased our tickets to enter Ruby Falls.  Some history about Ruby Falls.  Leo Lambert accidentally discovered Ruby falls in 1928 deep within Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga, TN.  Leo named the waterfall after his wife, Ruby, and opened the attraction to the public in 1929.

We journeyed deep inside the historic Lookout Mountain to see the tallest and deepest underground waterfall open to the public in the United States! We descended 260 feet by the glass-front elevator to see ancient cave formations along the cavern trail to the thundering falls.   The rest of the way to see Ruby Falls was a mere 1,120 feet.

Ruby Falls was founded by the tunnelers who kept digging to locate the original cave they were searching for, the Lookout Mountain Caverns, which reached 1,120 feet underground.
