New Smyrna Beach with My St. Louis Boys

It's 7:50am and the car is packed with beach stuff and we are ready and in the car.  Boys have even eaten breakfast!!
After an hour and 1/2 of driving, we have reached our destination.
New Smyrna Beach
Boys are getting SPF 50 on their faces and the bottle is being passed down the line.
Grandpa packed boogie boards so the boys are heading to the ocean to try them out.  The waves are crashing on the beach so they should have a great time catching the waves. I have my SPF 50 on and am ready to catch some rays.  I haven't been in the sun for a while so hopefully, my sunscreen does its job.
Archer has been begging for someone to bury him.  Josh and Brody fill his request. Good job Archer is smiling and happy.
Sandcastle time
Joshua treated us to lunch at Ocean Breeze Tiki  BAR. :-) Look how cute these grandsons are!! My St. Louis grandsons Brody &

2 Happy Boys

On the way home, we had to stop because it started raining in buckets. Archer and I put down the sides of the golf cart and finished our trek home.

When Archer and I got home we dried off.  Well at least I thought Archer was drying off.  I look for him and Marlin said when I was a kid and there was no lightening my Mom let me sit outside in the rain with an umbrella ☔️ Since Archer was already wet he had let him sit under the gutters in a chair.  He was still getting rained on but he was having fun.

Marlon made Smoked ribs, fries and corn on the cob tonight for dinner!! Yummo
Boys painted and wrote in their journals.
I read them a short story called Space Boy!!

FIRST DAY WITH MY BOYS IN THE VILLAGES

Well, it's noon and the boys are getting out of bed. Getting home at 3:30am from the airport made us all sleep in. :-) Grandpa made them egg, cheese, and bacon sandwiches.  Yummy they ate it all!! Showered and ready for a golf cart ride to the grocery store, and to get guest passes for the pools and recreation centers.

Drove the golf carts to Brownwood Publix and shopped for some of the boys' favorite foods :-) .  Now for a surprise stop at Dunkin Doughnuts.  We parked and went in to check out the selection of delicious doughnuts.  The boys (Brody & Archer) picked out the doughnut with the chocolate frosting and sprinkles.  Marlon, Joshua, and I had a bagel and cream cheese.

The skies are getting dark and the wind has picked up.

Well, it's raining outside, and it's time for some indoor activities. The boys have to paint by numbers and are going to paint pictures to take home to their mother.

We are basically waiting on the paint to dry and Brody wants to take a nap.  Archer wants to take a golf cart ride.  I took him to see my friend Mickey first.  She thought he was a cutie pie.  Once back in the cart I let Archer sit on my lap and drive the golf cart.  He did very good at steering and the gas pedal.  On our way to another friend's house Mary.  We stopped and knocked on her door.  She invited us in and we chatted a little bit.  We are now back at the house and it's time to start thinking about what's for dinner.  Marlon is making burgers on the grill, corn on the cob, and french fries.  After dinner, we all got in the golf carts and took a ride to Brownwood and a dance band was playing.  We stopped and listened to some music and I learned how to do the salsa dance.

My Boys

Now we are back in the cart and hunting for some alligators. It is a long cart ride to the new area of The Villages called Fenny.  I am so enjoying this time with my boys.  We found not one gator tonight but we will look again tomorrow.
It is dark outside and we drove home from Fenny in the dark.  I'm exhausted from yesterday and today.  I have a book of short stories I'm going to read the boys for bedtime.  The boys had a small bowl of ice cream.  Guess Brody doesn't like icecream but Archer does:-)  I thought all kids liked cookies and cream ice cream!!
