St. Johns Ferry Boat Ride

The Saint Johns River Ferry, also known as the Mayport Ferry, is an automobile ferry between Mayport and Fort George Island, two areas within Jacksonville, Florida. The 0.9 miles (1.4 km) voyage crosses the Saint Johns River about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) inland of the river's mouth and travels in an east-west direction for approximately 2,000 feet (610 m) on State Road A1A. It departs every half-hour.
Picked up Emma, Landen was at work.  Decided to take a tour around Jacksonville, Florida.  During our ride around Jacksonville Florida, we spotted A FERRY BOAT.  Marlon stopped and got in line with the rest of the cars to ride on the St. John's Ferry over to Fort George Island.
Time to drive the van onto the ferry boat.

This is so cool. We are parked on the ferry and at first, we didn't get out of the van.  I said there are others getting out of there cars so let's go.

First thing I spot is a brown pelican sitting atop a wall and several boats tied up at the docks.

This has been a wonderful Easter spending it not in the traditional way of sitting down for dinner at home.  I am very happy to be spending it with Marlon and Emma exploring the area around Jacksonville, Florida.
Its a short ride to the other side for about 8 minutes.
The ferry ride has ended and we are back in the van and waiting our turn to drive off the ferry and head out to Kingsley Estate.

Ventura Beach/Harbor CA with The Family

Breakfast at the famous Cici's.  Waited an hour in line but it was well worth the wait.
Seamus missed his birthday beach visit because of weather on his actual birthday.  A visit to this beach was a perfect way to spend his belated beach birthday.
Marlon and Seamus are heading to the beach.
These dogs were in the back of a truck, enjoying the scenery.
Love this man of mine :-)
Waves come up on the beach making a neat design on the sands.
Rocks leading out to the ocean with a view of a sailboat in the distance.
A birdie on the rocks looking for a fish to eat.
Scared this bird and it took off across the ocean.
Enjoyed watching these birds chase the water to the ocean, when the ocean came back at them they ran back to the sand.  So funny watching them.
We started off with lots of sunshine, within an hour the fog came in and you couldn't even see the ocean, also the winds picked up and was blowing.  Time to pack up, oh the temp dropped also.
As the fog got heavier the birds came into the shore lines.

Can bearly see the homes on the mountains and can't see the mountains at all from the heavy fog.

Packed up and headed across the road to Ventura Harbor for some shopping and a visit to the harbor.

Walked by this beautiful line of flowering bushes and it had allot of birds hiding inside.  Spotted this one sitting on a branch, the rest of his buddies stayed in the bushes.

Nice visit to our favorite coffee shop at this village.

Marlon, Audy, and Seamus walking the beach.  Loves spending time with her making memories.
Seamus enjoying some beach time.  Happy belated birthday!!!

Dinner was at a fabulous Thai restaurant.  Loved the coconut soup in the flaming bowl.
