On the way to Hitachi Sea Side park, many towns were participating in their monthly community clean up day. It was awesome to see every town along the way working on keeping their community so clean.

I also enjoyed trying to get pictures of all the street lights. Every city has its own unique set of lights. I did manage to capture a few lights. It's pretty hard to get pictures through the car windows traveling at approx 40 mph.
When we arrived at Hitachi Sea Side Park in Mito~City Teresa had made us a picnic lunch. After getting out of the car and not finding a picnic table we all decided to eat lunch in the car. It was also a little cool outside so would be nice to sit in the car and enjoy our delicious lunch. :-) Teresa had packed our lunch in a traditional black-lacquered Japanese bento box. The bento box was wrapped Furoshiki (風呂敷, furoshiki) is which is a type of traditional Japanese wrapping cloth frequently used to transport bento boxes.
After lunch, we entered the park after paying the entrance fee. Reviewed maps to locate the daffodils.
As we walked toward the location of the daffodils we saw a beautiful setting of a table and chairs sitting in the middle of the trees.
I would love to have this bench made of bamboo.
Beautiful romantic setting for lunch or a nice place to sit and visit with friends.
Many beautiful flowers to admire as we follow the path to the daffodils.
The winding path through the gardens.
Several tables and chairs located through~out the gardens.
At last, we are getting closer to a large number of daffodils planted on the hill.
In the background, you can spot the huge Ferris wheel located in AKO Sea Side Amusement Park
The hillside was filled with daffodils and mustard plants. So bright and beautiful.
When we left this area we started over towards the location of the tulips. On the way, we saw many plum trees in full bloom, what a beautiful sight to see. The aroma from the trees was so fragrant, I stood for a while and just inhaled the scent of the flowering Plum trees.
Ric is getting some good shots of plum blossoms in bloom. Many many photographers here today.
In a couple more weeks there will be many tulips in bloom. Since the weather has been too cold the season is behind 2-3 weeks. If they would have been in bloom this is what we would have seen.
We are now going up this huge walkway to the top of the hill to see the ocean. If you can make it to the top there is a bell to ring. Hopefully, we all make it to the top and can ring that bell.
We all made it to the top and Teresa and I together was proud to ring the bell.
This hill when in bloom is covered with Nemophila flowers.
