International Food & Wine Fest at Disney Epcot

Arrival at Epcot by bus.

 Chefs playing pots and pans on the kitchen stoves for entertainment.  Not bad at all.

 First tasting was food from Thailand- Yummy super delicious We were given a booklet with sticker to mark each country's food that we tried.  Prices were very cheap most around $4 to $5 dollars.

 Allot of food time to go listen to some entertainment. Drummers are called Matsuriza who are traditional Taiko drummers.Taiko Drummers from Toyko

 Took a little ride to get cooled off.

 Time for some dessert.

 Another little boat ride through Mexico .

 Time to go home.  Caught the boat to take it to the bus to get back to the hotel.

First Visit to Epcot at Disney

Started our journey to Epcot early this morning.  Stopped at Wawa gas station for some gas and a breakfast sandwich before we hit the road to Epcot in Disney.  As soon as we arrived we went on a search to get our new passes.  Got our season passes and started our adventure of this beautiful place.  Epcot is known for the big ball in the background.  Spaceship Earth, a geodesic sphere that also serves as an attraction.

 Epcot has a huge Flower and Garden show going on.  Lots of Disney topiaries and flowers. 

The first thing that caught my eye was the monorail system that went whizzing by. Never got to ride it but next visit I will.

 Enjoyed this show about science inventions.

Spotted the butterfly garden.  I love butterflies so away we went to see the array of butterflies.  I thought there would be more than what I saw but still found about 4 varieties and a couple willy worms that will be butterflies some day. 

 

 So many different Mickey Ears to choose from.

Mexico: This pavilion is completely inside of a Mayan pyramid and looks like a nighttime scene in a Mexican marketplace. It takes many of its inspirations from the Blue Bayou in Disneyland, including the boat ride that goes through the pavilion. This ride, now themed to Disney's Three Caballeros, shows the sights and sounds of Mexico. More recently, they have built a tequila bar and a new restaurant on the waterfront solidifying the popularity of alcoholic beverages in World Showcase.

Journey Into Imagination ride

 Japan: Japan was one of the first pavilions in mind for World Showcase (because Tokyo Disneyland was also under construction). They originally were going to build a clone of "Meet the World" which is found at the Tokyo park but were concerned about the potential controversy because "Meet the World" did not mention World War II. This pavilion also holds one of the most unique performers in all of the Disney Parks: Miyuki who is the only female rice candy artist in the world. She creates "Japanese lollypops" in the shape of the guest's favorite animal.

China: This pavilion has the 360 movie Reflections of China which showcases the beauty and breadth of China. It replaced the 20-year-old movie "Wonders of China," which was one of the first American movies allowed to film inside of China, especially the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.

 Music in the pavilion,  great band.

 Last ride of the night -Spaceship Earth Ride: Located in the park's iconic geodesic sphere (no, it's not a giant golf ball), this attraction has had the same theme since its opening: communication. Spaceship Earth was one of the first attractions to portray future technologies, such as Skype and Google hangouts.
