Rainy Day Equals Fun Times..........

Rainy days in Japan what's new?  LOL  Nothing stops us ladies from having a good time. :-)Teresa had contacted me and told me she would pick me up by noon.  I got moving and got some laundry done.  I was ready to go by the time she got here. I am having such a wonderful time with these ladies. God has surely been good to me giving me friends all the way in Japan....still amazes me!! I was first in the car so we went to pick up Deb then Sue.  Had a short visit at Sue's house. Her sensa Mioko was working with her.  When they were finished we jumped in the car and Teresa asked where we wanted to have lunch?  Sue says she knows the way to a place that has great food at a place that looks like a funeral home. What the heck?  A funeral home that sells food?  Oh yeah Sue says they have great panini's. Sue begins to give Teresa directions to get there. When we arrived everyone in the car was looking at the place and OMG it did look like a funeral home; but a very nice one.  Its very fancy and is suppose to be a castle. LOL
I love this place especially the decor! It really does remind me of a funeral home.....The place is famous for their great coffee! There is a picture of a 3 musketeer on alot of things (not really we didn't know who the guy was)? He's posted on the front door of the place.
They sold American coffee cup and saucer its American I think because it is bigger than the Japanese version. (so funny)Sue kept saying that she really wanted one of those cups and saucers. She has been here before and didn't get one and went home and wished she would have. So I'm betting shes going to buy one of those $25 American Cup/saucer set.

Coffee bar is located right inside the doors

We were seated and I was in awe of this place......wish Sue would not have said anything about the funeral home thing that's all I keep thinking about.....Once seated I stood up and took a picture, wow funeral home material I tell U.
Well of course I had to order coffee after hearing so much about how great it was....I'm sure the coffee will be great.  Wish I knew the name of the restaurant but I can't read Japanese, can you?
I was very impressed again when they brought out a copper tray with copper creamer and sugar bowl...Teresa's iced coffee was brought out in a copper mug.WOW....impressive.

Here is my American cup and saucer with that guy's picture on it. Sue is still talking about this cup and saucer and how she wished she would have bought one before.  So anyone want to bet that before we leave she buys one? AWWWWWW come on No ONE?
Now its time for them to bring our panini's and french fries.:-)We are happy to be here.  This place is Deb's and Teresa's first time to be here also. They are impressed with the food and the funeral home/castle.

We are finished eating and paying for our food..so is she going to buy one?  YES Sirree she is LOL ROFLMAO......
We all recommend this place to everyone we just need to find out the name of it.

On our way to FKD Mall to shop......yippe what better thing to be doing than eating or shopping on a rainy day?  LOL
I find it interesting that FUR on anything is popular. So ladies do you think we will get a real fur coat........for Christmas? NOT>>>>>>>I do like the fur around the tops of the boots and the fur collars, fur hats, fur pocketbooks, hey I think I like the fur...LOL

I wanted to look in the toy department to see what kind of dolls they had.  I have a grand daughter and well if they aren't too much would like to get her a doll.  The first doll I fell in love with cost $100 but it talks :-) It looks like a Japanese dolly. They had a boy and a girl doll. Wish I were rich I would buy one for all my grandkids.
We honestly were leaving the toy department but these mechanical dogs instantly drew all of our attention to them. I mean they could sit, stick out their tongues and move their heads like they are licking you, wag their tails.....they were just so life like. The cost of the dogs were $30 you could get the one that does all the things I listed plus more.  I mean this is just an absolutely awesome toy.  I think Deb and Sue needs the big one since they had to leave their pets back in the USA.
So we all played with the animals and then chose the ones we wanted and YES we bought them.  I bought two small dogs and they are just so very cute.
Time to go back to hotel, wow ladies thanks for making this trip so wonderful and making me some very special memories.  What better thing to do on a rainy day, lets see great lunch, shop for latest fashions, play with all the toys and then Teresa bought us all COOLISH....Coolish is icecream in a package no drip........LOL thats another story.  I recommend this to anyone who has never had this icecream it was so very cold and tasty. YUMMO.......found in the freezer department.
Can't never repay any of my friends here in Japan for spending all this time with me I feel honored. :-)

  4. That would be kinda creepy eating at a funeral home that sells food. That thought would never be far from my mind. Happy to see that you have such great friends there. I really like the couple on the bike(the one made out of wood). Funny how you never realize how much bigger everything is here until you see how small they are there. Nikki
