Surf City Santa Monica

Up early and out for a walk along the  beach.
The sun is up and the weather is wonderfully warm.
Started walking down the walking path where there are lots of people up and walking, biking, running.  Noticed this cool camper van in the parking lot along the path.  A guy was in there getting ready to go surfing.
I was totally enjoying watching all the people going surfing this morning.  While walking on the beach you could look out at the ocean and see at least 25 surfers.  They all seemed to be waiting for the perfect wave.  Watched them for a while as they tried their surfing skills on each big wave they encountered.  Several surfers didn't mind posing for some pics......
There are so many flowers here in CA in full bloom.  The flowers make me smile as I admire them.

Decided to walk around the area and find a place to have lunch.  During our walk I captured some more beautiful flowers.  The cherry blossom trees are beginning to bloom.
Once I seen, the cherry blossom trees I started thinking about my upcoming trip to Japan.  We came upon the perfect place to eat lunch.  We found a Japanese Ramen Noodle place called JINYA Ramen Bar at
11239 Ventura Blvd
Studio
CityCA 91604
Totally loved the food and atmosphere here.
Shopped in a few shops on the way home.  Never got hungry till around 7 pm and
Marlon and I went down by the pool where there is a big grill.  Grilled some chicken breasts and drank some wine and chatted about t his weekends activities.
Caught some of the sunset tonight, lots of colors tonight and I almost missed it.

Santa Monica's Farmers Market on 2nd Street and Arizona

Audrey had told us about a Farmers' Market here in Santa Monica.  Not much for breakfast as we have not been to the grocery store yet.  Need to get some shopping done soon.  Started walking downtown to 2nd and Arizona streets.  People are all out and about filling the streets with some talking and laughter.  Today you cannot see far as it is very foggy out.
It's only 8:30 am and the place is beginning to fill up.
The tent with the amazing looking bread, was our first purchase.  This bread was made by Kenter Canyon, Farms in Sun Valley, CA.  Bread was 100% whole grain, stone milled and the name of bread was Sonora County Blonde.  We chose the bread on the left.
Best dates produced in CA according to the chef we met.  She said that she only shops  there after sampling all the dates at the Farmers Market. Like how the tent had branches of dates hanging around and wrapped around the pole of her tent.
So many absolutely beautiful flowers all over the market.  Loved all my choices.
BERRIES, BERRIES, BERRIES.  Marlon bought me a carton of blackberries.  I tasted them and loved them, I had to stop eating them before I ate the entire container of berries.
Found this odd looking fruit, can't tell you what it is.
There were several streets filled with tents full of veggies and fruits at the market.  Marlon and I really enjoyed shopping there.
On the way home I saw this neat looking building and later saw that it was only a parking garage.  Oh, well I liked the artwork on the front of it.
Also, sitting on the ledge of a building were a line of buddha's.  Gotta keep your eyes open around here.  So much to see and do.
Dinner tonight was completely made from everything we got at the Farmers Market.  Fresh halibut caught by local fishermen marinated with Meyer Lemon and rosemary, baby potatoes of various colors, and peas.  Glass of white wine to top off a delicious dinner.
