Sanford Day Trip with Kyle & Mary

On our way to a fun-filled day in Sanford.  Wanted to introduce Kyle and Mary to our famous Donut King.  I cannot say how many different types of doughnuts they have but it’s a large variety!   Marlon and I played around by putting our faces in the doughnut king sign!  We are 2 Sweethearts.

Found a spot to park near the water and took off downtown to shop!! Shops don’t open till 11 am so we went to a coffee shop to get out of the heat.   Nice place to get out of the heat and enjoy an iced coffee.

Time for lunch at The Breezeway.  We got the famous Indiana Tenderloin!!    This sandwich is so delicious and it’s HUGE.
Saw this cute German Deli and stopped in to explore. I'm loving this little town of Sanford.

Winter Park by Sunrail

Spent some time in Sanford and had lunch  It's time to go to the Sun Rail train station and get our tickets to Winter Park.

Waiting for the train to arrive.

Boarded the train and took the 35 minute ride to Winter Park.
I can say I love the town of Winter Park.  The streets are cobble-stoned and lots of small shops and food establishments to eat at.
After lots of shopping, it was time to get an ice-cold beverage.  Decided on some boba tea.  The shop had been open for 12 days and was ready for some business.  The shop was unique with items made by residents and sold in her shop.  The boba tea was homemade and super delicious.

Each cup was covered with  a hot sealed covered with cute faces on them.  I love them so cute.

Ready to board the train and go back to Sanford.

Fourth of July 2022

Lunch on the patio. Hubby did some grilling for all of us.  Nothing like some American July 4th food, burgers, hotdogs, corn on the cob, ice tea, and blackberry crisp with ice cream.  In the cart and heading to Brownwood to see the festivities going on.
It looks like it could rain and has threatened to rain all day.  So far though no rain. :-)
Took Mary's picture with the American red white and blue stilt walkers.
Watched The Villages twillers perform their patriotic act.
Another picture of Mary with the stilt walkers.
Twillers
Marlon and I spotted the stilt walkers and got our picture with them. So patriotic.
Kyle and Mary
Time to take a look at the all-American Brews & Cruise activity.  Lots of excellent made-in-America cars that are classic.
Making our way around the square in Brownwood to see all these classic cars.

Check out the license plate on the 67 mustang fastback.
Nice time at Brownwood Brews & Cruise to check out more of the villages. Made a pit stop to show Kyle and Mary the place called Sunset Point.  What a beautiful view of Sumter Landing.
Now it's time to check out another part of The Villages.  Spanish Springs is the oldest part of the villages.  We are going to take Kyle and Mary to this most beautiful area.  Live music at the Spanish Springs Square tonight is Paisley Craze.
Danced to a slow song they played and left to tour the rest of Spanish Springs.
Stopped to admire this beautiful lit-up fountain where the oak trees are covered with moss hanging down from the trees.  Love how the wind makes the moss swaying in the breeze.
Great night with the family.
