TAO Drumming Concert - 60th Birthday Celebration

TAO: The Martial Art of Drumming is a Japanese drum and dance ensemble formed in 1993. This performing group combines music and dance to reflect Japanese tradition but also incorporates Korean, Maori, and Indonesian influences. Another day of celebration for my 60th Birthday.

2020 Grandview Draft Horse Invitational - 60th Birthday Celebration

Celebrating my 60th birthday with friends attending the Draft Horse Invitational. I took so many pictures its crazy.....LOL, I totally enjoyed touring through the horse barns and watching them preparing the draft horses for the big show. 

Trying to explain the atmosphere that you will find within the show ring of an elite all-breed draft horse hitch show is hard to put into words, but here it goes…

Just imagine the possibility of 168 one-ton horses in a ring at the same time, along with 21 world-class hitch wagons, being maneuvered by some of the best drivers in the industry! You can imagine the organized chaos that gets executed perfectly, a marvelous undertaking to see. The pure power and excitement of this equine venture are one of the most crowd-pleasing horse events on the planet. There will be up to 32 of these one-ton draft horses working together at a full trot within the show ring altogether. Did we mention that the whole competition is done to handpicked music for each class.

 

Lavender N Lace Tea Room Restaurant - Celebration of 60th Birthday

I am so lucky to have such an amazing friend Kim Ross who took me to celebrate my 60th to Lake Alfred, Florida. The teahouse "Lavender N Lace" was the most unique place I have been in a long time. The tea house was so cute, shabby chic, walls covered in antique teacups and pots, etc. The food, atmosphere, and company made me one happy lady. This place also had a nice gift shop. If you go make reservations!!
