Nice ride to the airport no traffic!
We checked in and have our airline tickets. Heading to the gate to wait for takeoff.Small delay and the pilot just told us that there is turbulence over the Atlantic and we were going to fly along the coast and leave out over Maine. This added 40 extra minutes to our trip.
Sunrise
Arrival in Amsterdam went through passport line and onto our gate and then shopped around. Beautiful sunrise this morning.
We have landed in Vienna Austria.😀 Now to get out luggage and find a taxi to Hilton Danube Hotel.
Checked in and time to explore, we have a river view on the Executive Floor. Lots of great immunities which include executive lounge and breakfast.
Went down to the executive lounge and we were given chocolate Santa Claus😀loved how they folded the napkins to look like 🎅 Santa Claus
The lounge was very nice with a city view on one side and a river view on the side. Made a small snack and had sparkling water. Krampus figures and perchten (Krampus’ army of elves) descend into the crowd, looking for innocent bystanders — usually older kids and adults — to whip with prickly brooms and birch branches. In full character and costume, the masked actors spare no force and often get rowdy, hounding their prey until they surrender. Many also rattle chains or flick their whips to instill fear in the spectators.
