Devils Tower

Driving to Devils Tower today then on to Rapid City SD.

We have reached our location and stopped at a shop for some postcards.The Tower is an astounding geologic feature that protrudes out of the prairie surrounding the Black Hills. It is considered sacred by Northern Plains Indians and indigenous people. Hundreds of parallel cracks make it one of the finest crack climbing areas in North America.

We have decided to hike the trail around Devils Tower. The hike is 1.3 miles to go completely around, We saw several trees and bushes that had feathers and cloths hanging from them.
