Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens

After we ate lunch the rains came down hard,  lasted about 15 minutes then cleared up and away we went to the gardens.
Morikami & Japanese Gardens
4000 Morikami Park Road
Delray Beach, FL 33446
Morikami's gardens, named Roji-en: Garden of the drops of dew, were designed to be a living exhibit as an extension of the museum.  Its six distinct gardens are inspired by but are not replicas of significant gardens of Japan.  Designer Hoichi Kurisu has created a unique garden conceived and constructed in the spirit of the masters.
It was lunchtime so when we arrived we enjoyed a delicious Pan-Asian inspired lunch at Cornell Cafe.  The open-air cafe on the terraces overlooked the tranquil gardens.

Time to stroll through the gardens. Yamato Museum

Yamato Island is the site of the original museum building, the Yamato-kan, and home to our world-class bonsai exhibition

Bonsai Gardens located around the Yamato Museum
Bamboo Gardens....loved listening to them hit together, great soothing sound.
 Garden Statues
Beautiful bridges located throughout the gardens.

  Great visit to the gardens
