I have been looking forward to visiting a Highland Farm all day. The farm experience was everything I had hoped it would be. Neil the shepherd came out carrying a shepherd’s hook and one of his collies was close beside him. We did not know how Mason would handle farm animals as he has always been afraid of them. He did well๐
Neil called his collies from the other side of the fence. The gate was opened, and everyone followed Neil. We could see the sheep ๐ in another field, but they were small as they were far away. He whistled and yelled something to them, and one of them took off. Not long after, he came back with a herd of sheep that were all running.
Neil impressed everyone with his training of the collies.
Neil took a sheep and hypnotized it. He took a red whistle with a little circle punched in it and swung it over the woolly eye of the sheep. Believe it or not, the sheep went limp. Happen, but he just held the sheep, and the sheep did not move. He told us about how the sheep had grown within the last two weeks by showing its teeth. The incisor teeth tell them if it’s a lamb or mutton. A lamb still has its baby teeth.
