St. George Temple- Utah

Visited the church of  Jesus Christ of latter-day saints visitor center.  Always was curious about this religion.  This church is all Mormons and the St. George Utah Temple is the first temple built in Utah.
We were greeted by 2 young ladies who toured us around the center.  They explained their beliefs and was constantly telling us how much Jesus Christ meant to them.  After a tour, we were given a Morman Bible to read and their email addresses in case we had any questions later.  I could feel the love of God in this building.  They took our pictures in front of the church, and we toured around the grounds which were beautiful.  Lots of pretty roses were planted throughout the grounds.  The view of the huge brilliantly white temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was spectacular to see.

Leaving our mark at Arches that we have been here.  So cool that Sherry put the last rock on the stack which fit perfectly.  I saw this being done in Japan all the time.

moab, Utah

One night stay in this beautiful hustling and bustling town.  Lots of unique shops, places to eat and activities.
Walked around Moab to take in all that it had to offer.
Hey, Patty Byrd, I found a store in Moab in with last name on it.  Any relation?
We did venture in to check out a few shops including this nice quilt shop.  I've got the bug to learn how to really quilt.  Wish my family who quilts lived closer to teach me.
Many buggy rentals to tour around this awesome mountainous area.
Topped the evening off with a trip to the local brewery.  Very busy place loved the beer and the local cuisine.  Met several people in the brewery and all were so interesting to talk to.  One girl was traveling on her own to visit her parents.  She was sleeping in her van for the night.  She was an avid mountain biker and loved exploring the trails.  So friendly to talk to.  Also met a group of ladies, a purple-haired Mom who was 84, she had 2 daughters with her.  One of the daughters had a nice big driveable camper, which they were traveling in and staying at KOA's along the way.  This is something the group does together every year.  Boy I loved taking my Mommy on journeys with us.  Missing her like crazy.

Had lunch at a place where you placed your order and seated yourself.  They did bring the food out to you.  Sat outside and enjoyed the scenery and the nice fall-like setting.
