When we arrived I noticed smoke on the mountain. Never seen any fire just smoke. When we left White Forest where the guys played disc golf we noticed a a plane flying over the smokey area. We were hoping to see some action in taking care of this fire on the mountain in progress. There were lots of homes nearby. Marlon, Mark, and Ken enjoyed a round of disc golf . Marlon did pretty good for his first time out using a disc to golf. Candy walked ahead of all of us to spot out the next hole for the guys. You could not see where the next hole was for all the trees. The disc golf course was beautiful and had a great view of a lake along with some very pretty flowers. Sherry and I followed along behind the guys. I did have some trouble getting good deep breaths. It was a little scary feeling to me. I think the guys got to hole 9 and I wanted to leave as my shortness of breath seemed to be getting worse. All is ok with me and I'm pretty sure Sherry was having some problems also. Denver is nicknamed the Mile-High City because its official elevation is exactly one mile (5280 feet above sea level, making it the highest major city in the United States. The air in Colorado has less oxygen, which makes you breath faster to get the same amount of oxygen with with each extra breath. You lose moisture through your skin, and your mucous membranes will dry out. I even got a nose bleed while being here in Colorado.
