What a pleasant, fun, relaxing time we had yesterday. Enjoyed watching a movie with the Saint Louis family at their house. Nothing better than to hang out with them on a cold day when its only 10F outside. Miranda made appetizers that were beautifully displayed. Also, there were croissants that she made that were flattened to make a flatbread pizza. We ended up making our own veggie pizza and choosing our own veggies to put on it. Now, that's a creative way to get everyone to eat their veggies. Thanks, Miranda, for the wonderful hospitality. The veggie pizzas were to die for. After the movie was over, Miranda had set a beautiful table and made a delicious dinner of lasagna, salad and garlic bread. After dinner, Miranda took Marlon and me on a special trip to see Christmas lights. Brody our grandson went with us but Archer was asleep, so Josh stayed home with him.
Lady of Snow was our destination for the night. What a special trip this was, complete with a stop for hot apple cider and kettle corn. Spending this quality time with the family is icing on the cake. Below is a little about this display of lights.
This year you can visit on Friday, November 17, 2017 – Sunday, December 31, 2017
Wintertime sparkles at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows as the Annual Way of Lights Christmas display illuminate the grounds. This display has been going on every year since 1970.This breathtaking
display focuses on the birth of Christ, the one true light of the world.
Miranda located the alter that held many candles that many people had lit for a loved one. She got out of the car and lit a candle and placed it on the shelf for her father Glenn.
Glenn's candle is on the 3rd row first one that is lit
When she finished she started our drive through the display of lights
Not, to mention you could arrange a ride on a horse drawn carriage.

This is made completely out of Leggos.
Back to the car to finish seeing the lights.
Wow, the canopy of lights were very beautiful.
Miranda stopped and got us some hot apple cider and kettle corn. We all enjoyed it as she drove us around to see the lights. Its only 10 F right now outside, so this hot beverage was so enjoyed.
There was a tent set up where you could pay to ride a camel.
Enjoyed sipping on my hot cider and Brody enjoyed kettle corn as we finished seeing the big light display.
