Day 2 Relaxation Day in Bama

The day started off with us waking up to hearing the ocean outside. :-) Woke up early to see the sun rise and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the ocean.  God sure has a way of giving us just what we need.
Awe the view........Marlon made some of our coffee from Cafe Du Monde and it was very tasty and hot. We sat out on the balcony and enjoyed the ocean and each other.  Talked about our day and what we needed to do before Leonard and Carol came to pick us up. Guess its laundry......After sitting and enjoying Marlon made us breakfast of a turkey sausage omelet, toast and fried potatoes. YUMMO.......:-)
Marlon and I went down stairs to do laundry.  I got it started and Marlon took off to explore the beach.  While I was doing laundry met a nice lady with 4 kids.....her name was Tammy.  We talked the entire time we did laundry time went by fast.  Before I knew it laundry was done and Marlon was back with some great shots of the beach to show me. :-)
just love the ripples in the sand......
white sandy beaches of Alabama........beautiful, I never pictured the beaches in Alabama to be so beautiful. This vacation has been a nice surprise.
Crashing waves of the Gulf of Mexico
I sure hope you are enjoying the pictures and details of our vacations........!!!!
The sand dunes are absolutely  beautiful and we are restricted from disturbing them.
Once we got the laundry done we went over and got in the hot tub, sauna, and pool which are all in doors that has a dome on top that the sun shines through.

We are back at the condo and getting ready to go meet Leonard and Carol. We met them in town and got in the car with them.  Leonard drove us around the area and drove us to Florida which is very close to AL. We drove over there to buy some lottery tickets (power ball).   Marlon and Leonard both bought tickets.  We drove by the equipment that BP Oil has lined up on the Gulf Shores to collect oil from the big spill in the ocean.
We drove through a very nice mall called the Wharf.  It does not get the business it should.  Don't know why it has everything including elegant condos built by the river. There are lots of places to eat and shop and a  movie house.  As soon as the places open business within months they are out of business. So sad as the place is beautiful.
Leonard then took us down a road that had lemon trees.  I thought they were orange trees but he said NO thats the color they are when grown here.
Time to go to Mickee's and eat dinner.
The place is nice and the food is excellent.
Mickee's has excellent oysters.  We got 6 baked oysters on the half shell.  YUMMY So good. The food was excellent.  As we ate dinner I looked up through the port holes in the restaurant and noticed the beautiful sunset.  Wow I took my camera and went outside to get a shot to share. :-)
All of us so enjoyed our dinner at Mickees' Oyster Bar.
When we completed eating we all went back to our condo on the beach and had champagne. Carol and I had such a wonderful time celebrating just getting to see each other.
We so enjoyed our time together talking about old times and new times together. We made plans for tomorrow and then it was time for them to go home. thanks Leonard and Carol for being such great hosts to us. LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL......YAHOO........
