Time To SLOW Down Day FKD Mall & dinner at Sammy's

I like to get up early with hubby in the mornings just like at home.: -) 5 am is a good time for me to get up!! First thing MAKE THE COFFEE and then my morning is truly beginning.

Called Belinda this morning and she was tired from walking around in the rain and cold yesterday. We have decided to meet around 10:45 in the lobby today. : -) Marlon had taken me to FKD Mall yesterday but I really didn't get to shop around. Marlon wanted me and Belinda to go so we could take our time and shop. He showed me where to catch the bus and how to read the bus schedule.

I met Belinda down in the lobby and we headed out to catch the bus. I thought i knew where I was going but ended up at some tunnel and we looked at each other and knew we had come to far. Turned around and found the bus stop i had missed the street somehow? Waited on the bus and the line which grew pretty long pretty fast.

The bus ride was short maybe 5 minutes max and then we saw the mall. The first place we walked into was the food court. it was too early to eat so the grocery store was in sight also which is in this mall. I will say that this is the nicest grocery store i have been in, lots of items to choose from. Belinda and i decided after we had walked around in the store for about 45 minutes are going to buy things and make dinner for our men ; -) I am so looking forward to a great salad! As I mentioned before there were lots of prepared foods which is great because we have no way to cook but there is a microwave on the 2nd floor. We can just take our purchases up there and zap them : -) Allot of the fruits are reasonably priced but we did run into some that were outrageous in price. I mean how much would you pay for a perfect cantaloupe? Does $50 sound like its too much to pay? LOL

Its lunch time and we go back over to the food court and check out all the locations we can eat, they have Shakey's Pizza, KFC, noodles, fish, etc. In one of the restaurants there was a big fish head and tail in a pan to show what they were serving today. omg is looked so gross, we asked what type of fish it was and he told us mackerel. I mean really is it necessary to display a dead fish? Anyway we both made our decisions i got a noodle dish Yakisoba which was great and Belinda got KFC.

After lunch we ventured around the first floor and then walked around and finished looking at the first floor. My main reason for going there was they have a shop called Catherine's Plus and I was thinking we could shop in there. I'm sure there plus sizes would fit us right? Belinda and i walk in excited that we may have found a shop to buy some clothes at. Now this is truly funny, even there size 40 would not fit us comfortable, the shoulder's are to small you can say we are big American women LOL.......... Japanese women are very narrow across the shoulders is all I can say. By this time we are laughing so hard at the fact that we can't even wear Japanese plus sizes.. We got the heck out of there once we tried on a couple of jackets and headed down to the next section of the mall.

I'm in heaven I can at least look at the shoes even if I can't wear them. I can wear a LL but really its to narrow in the width. It's really nice that all the shoe stores are located in one section of the mall, Love this makes it so much easier to shop if you are looking for shoes. Finished looking at the other 2 upper floors and I ended up buying some ink pens and pencils at the pen shop. Love the way they write!!! I also bought my Mommy a jumper and hair berets that match it. Hope it fits and hope she likes it. Mom wears only dresses now and I thought this jumper will look nice on her : -)

We start back down to the first floor and go to Starbucks where we enjoy some nice cold beverages. It is about time for the bus so we head to the outside and the bus was parked in the same spot it was when Marlon and I rode it. We got on the bus and sat down and exactly on schedule the driver started the bus and took off. I can say one thing if the bus is to leave at 3: 15 and you get there at 3:16 you have missed the bus. They are so on schedule and i don't know how they do it with traffic but they do .

Walked back to the Hotel Richmond and parted our ways. Was hoping Marlon would be home before 7pm but not tonight he didn't get home till 8:30 . As soon as he got there he got ready and we went to the lobby to meet Greg P. We decided to go to Sammy's. Took off our shoes and stored them in the boxes and Greg headed up to the 2nd floor so we could sit Japanese style at the table. Cool this will be my first time to sit at one of these tables. Greg ordered for all of us he speaks pretty good Japanese which is great. WE we given an American menu and while looking through it Marlon showed me a picture and asked me what i thought it was ..........Yuck they have hand drawn a picture of a HORSE, no way would I order this. Another funny thing tucked inside the menu someone had made up a menu with some gross things written on it. Of course the Japanese left it in there LOL i take it they can't read English.

I got a Big ORANGE shochu which is Japanese whiskey made from wheat, rice or potatoes mixed with soda water and flavoring. Let me tell you it tastes delicious and one is all you need : -)

Enjoyed the company and yes I'm using chopsticks to eat and can manage them fairly well. Its late and we are heading back to the hotel. Greg meets up with some other friends and we go up to our room to prepare for bed.

Great Day : -)
