Tea Ceremony

Teresa picked me at the hotel today so did not have to ride the bus.  Its hot outside wow.......and humidity seems to be high. As soon as we arrived at the tea sensa's house she got out this kimono and started putting it on Teresa. Teresa will be in a Tea Ceremony Presentation at the Science Museum Oct. 1.  The kimono is being given to her for this ceremony. I love the kimono and especially the band with the fall leaves on it.  The pattern on the kimono is for good health. Teresa looks fabulous in this kimono..Onagowa is a Tea Sensei

These 2 little girl kimono's belong to her grand daughters.  When young girls come of age which are at ages 3, 5, and 21 they get a kimono.

Meals were delivered to Yamaguchi's house on trays in glass and then he came back and picked up the dishes.....wonderful :-)
