Day 2 William Shakespeare Birthplace, York Minster, Cathedral

On the Trafalgar bus and ready to start this adventure across England, Scotland, and Wales.

This morning, we departed the hotel and began our journey toward a town known for its deep love of theater. We’re traveling to the romantic Stratford‑upon‑Avon, forever celebrated as the hometown of William Shakespeare. Lots of unique statues on all the buildings.

William Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon in April 1564, the third child of John Shakespeare, glove-maker, wool dealer, and sometime town official

On our way to the ancient cathedral city of York, we were taken on an orientation walk to view its ancient city walls and magnificent 800-year-old Minster Cathedral.  Jim took us on a tour of York, then gave us free time to explore!

It’s so windy today!  I’d stay between the buildings, it’s not too bad.
York Minster is one of the world’s most magnificent Gothic cathedrals and the mother church of the Diocese of York in Northern England. We were told that the hearts in the cathedral’s window symbolize love such a beautiful touch ❤️.
We have the wind-blown look going on.
Shopping still to find a jacket for Mason.  No jacket yet!!
