Blue Rock State Forest is located in Muskingum County, Ohio. types now found in Ohio namely limestone, shale, and sandstone. The silt from these waters formed in the sedimentary shale found within the Blue Rock State Region. This blue colored shale gave the park its name.
The area has some rich green forest. I loved the ride through this beautiful area. The area is just so beautiful lots of green lush trees. The area we stopped at had a nice picnic shelter and a little covered bridge for access to use this area.
This bird startled me as I was admiring all the water lilies on the pond. Can't tell you what kind of bird it is but he is very fast getting from place to place.
The pond located by the shelter house was completely cover with water lilies. So beautiful to stand and look at.
Found some yellow lilies amongst the water lilies that have not bloomed. This place has so much to enjoy.
Sunday cruise in the S2000 has been such an adventure today.
